Sail The Storm
Oh, how I wish the eyes that could read me pierced my soul to extract the truth on the surface. Alas, love thou misery. Thy sting is the antidote to itself. What an irony! Aah! A bitter smile curved her lips. She let her voice reverberate the broken piece of their relationship. “What should I explain to the heart that speaks of love, but lacks the strength to trust?” She shakes her head in despair and walks towards the door to leave the premises, which conveys a testament to the love they shared (at least what she believed). A snippet of flame could set ablaze the house, burning down to ruin. I had always assumed our love was a safe cocoon, fireproof enough to withstand the odds of life. But the ashes served me truth on a silver platter. A love dearth of trust. Is it love? The entity of my belief about love confounds me. I left behind remnants of home and the man who carved a home in my heart. When a relationship encounters any turbulence, why does the wife leave the house she built as a home? Whosoever commits mistakes, but the consequence falls upon the woman. Like a homeless beggar, why does she suffer instability? A man can bask in the warmth of the shade, while a woman is restless in uncertainty that she should run under the canopy of her parents. No place to call her own after marriage. I am aware my father’s arms are not frail to sustain me. How can I untangle my hesitation and turmoil to voice my inner feelings? On the other side, his feet gave up, and he felt the emptiness in his body as if his soul had left his body. His eyes grieved what his heart couldn't muster the strength to do. Only if the mind coordinates with the heart in matters of love not to commit foolishness. A weakness in human flesh! Evara and Zian are caught in the whirlwind of misunderstanding, heartbreak, and life. How will Evara navigate to find her destination? Will Zian understand the gravity of his folly to find his way back to Evara?
